Leave No Trace

A cold breeze swept across my face causing a chill to shoot down my spine.
In the distance I could hear the echo of ocean waves crashing onto the sea shore.
I look towards the sky and was blinded by the suns brilliance.
I observed my surroundings and noticed an object immersed beneath the sand.
As I got closer I could begin to make out what appeared to be a cylinder like object.
When I had gotten to the object I knelt down and started to dig the object out of the ground.
The grains of sand smoothly went across my hand as I continued to dig.
The object  appeared to be some sort of jar like object, it was hard tell what exactly it was due to the fact that the sheathing was covered in sand.
I picked up the object and it was much heavier than I had expected.
I felt the around the object until I found a crevasse which I presumed to be a lid and open up the object.
In cased with in the  object I found a piece of paper with writing on it that read:
Take only photo's, but leave no footsteps behind.
At first glance I didn't understand what the saying had meant but as I began to think more and more about it I was shocked to realize its deep meaning.
From my understanding it meant that to leave no trace of you being there and that ultimately don't change the environment in which your in.
Ever since that day I always reflect back upon it, and wonder who could of left that jar there and why?
I have came to the conclusion that perhaps that jar was placed there on purpose and that one day  a person was meant to find it and share it's words of wisdom.
