Christmas is coming

Christmas is coming and Old Sally is humming.
She sings for all to hear.
Oh won't you come near?
Christmas is coming and Old Sally is cooking.
Christmas is coming and the decorations are lit up.
Christmas is coming and the day has ceased.
Christmas is coming and the children are dreaming.
Christmas is coming and Santa is getting ready.
Christmas is coming.
Oh yes indeed.

 

Who I am

I am the poet,
who didn't know it.
I am the thinker,
who sees life as a
puzzle
and it's up
to me
to solve it.

I am the runner,
who has no set destination.
The world is mine to
conquer.
It has no boundaries
or ends.

I am the Eagle Scout,
who started as a boy,
who didn't know how
to lead,
much less what
it meant
to lead.

In time I matured
and I became
the leader that I am today.
I am the rain that falls
from the sky
that tells
the stories of the
past, present and future.

I am the sunlight that aluminates
the morning sky
I am the warmth that radiates
the world

I am who I make my self to be
and that's enough for me.

Life is like a breeze

A son said to his father: "Dad, I don't know who or what I'm going to be. I don't know where I'll go. All I know is where I've been."

Father says to his son: "Life is like a breeze you just have to hop on it . In time you'll learn where to hop off and where to keep going. You'll travel for miles upon miles until one day you will of reached your final destination. You'll  say to yourself my where has time gone? And the answer to that question will be dependent upon how you lived your life."

New York City

Why is it that often times we fail to see the little parts of life?
Is it because we're not looking for them?
Or is it because there so subtle that is hard to see them?
For the past several years, I've traveled to New York City and until yesterday, I had never noticed the little things that make New York.
What struck me the most yesterday was the sounds of New York City.
Whether it is the screeching of the subway or the whistle of cars passing by, New York City has it all.
In a way the sounds of New York City were like listening to an untold story.
Each story was unique and is always changing.
Those who live in the city can never hear the untold story because they are always surrounded by it.
The next time you're in the city look and listen for the untold stories and you might be surprised by what you find.

 

The Blame Game

Blame is always a game.
No one ever comes out on top.

Yet those who are blame are left to mop
up others shame.

Before you tackle an idea, belief, or object you must understand its foundation. Everything in this world has a greater purpose. If you built a wall on your property would you want someone to take that wall down?It took time and dedication to build that wall. If you destroy that wall, then, what was the point of that person taking the time to build the wall in the first place?
