She stood there in the lunch room with the weight of the world hanging on her shoulders.
It was a weight she could not carry
And time and time again she would shrug it off
Yet even then the burden would never go away.
She'd put on a smile and never think twice.
Yet no one seemed to notice her.
She'd always put others happiness ahead of hers, which she always found fulfilling.
Though she always felt like something was missing.
Like a piece of a puzzle that you couldn't find the right place for.
So instead she wrote.
And she wrote.
Words on a page that would never make it to any stage.
Though she kept writing because words were like her safety net.
They were there to catch her when she fell and they were there to inspire others.
Yet they were never heard
Because her words had no voice
Had no barring
Yet her words spoke to her
And had barring
And had meaning
And had potential
But they were never heard.
It was a weight she could not carry
And time and time again she would shrug it off
Yet even then the burden would never go away.
She'd put on a smile and never think twice.
Yet no one seemed to notice her.
