The first time that I began running long distances was in my freshman year in high school.
It was in my freshman year that I realized my passion for running.
Since then I've always been an avid runner.
When I run I never like having one set destination.
I always run for the joy of running, never for competition.
When I run I feel as if I am on top of the world.
Running never feels like a struggle.
Distance doesn't matter because when I am running I feel as if can run forever.
Seconds become minutes and minutes become hours and before I know it I'll have ran farther than I ever thought I could.
Today at sunset, I ran along the Marginal way which is a pathway along the coast.
Out of all of the runs that I've ever ran, this run had to be the most exhilarating.
I ran faster today than I've ever run before.
Each step was as light as a feather and as I continued to run my boundaries became limitless.
There is this sense of tranquility and oneness with the world that it creates.
Never have I felt so exhilarated when running.
Tomorrow I'm going on another run along the coast.
Who knows where my boundaries will take me.
All I do know is that it's up to me to define them.
