The Towering Giants

A memory that will stick with me for a lifetime is my first day of preschool.
When I first arrived at the preschool, I remember seeing the huge doors of the building.
The doors were made out of wood; they were shiny enough that you could see your own reflection.
I remember wondering, if I would be big enough to even go through the doors.
While I was walking in, high school students were walking out.
When I saw them, I was stunned by their size.
They had to be as tall as sky scrapers and the more I looked up,  the taller they seemed.
I asked them if they were giants.
I had really hoped that they were giants, because I had always wanted to meet one.
When I asked them if they were indeed giants, they smiled and laughed.
In a thunderous voice, which echoed in my ears, they told me  that they were not giants.
Which was very disappointing news.
However, I did redeem myself.
When I got to preschool, I told everyone how I had just met giants, but they didn't seem to believe me.
It took a while, but I finally got them convinced that  I met giants.
After that day, all the  kids would come to me and ask me, what giants looked like and were they could find one ; since of course , I was an "expert" on identifying giants.
