The invisible Wall

I walk across an empty land leaving only footsteps behind.
I knew this pathway as if it was my destiny.
As I take each step a vague but distant memory draws me closer to a greater understanding of my life.
But I get to the point where I want to turn around and go back to where I came from but I can't it almost as if there is this invisible wall preventing me from turning back to my past.
This gave me a chance to reflect upon my life as I continued to walk.
I began to realize that the invisible wall symbolized something more than just a barrier, but rather a foundation in which I've built my life around.
All throughout my life I've had a numerous amounts of failures but also I have achieved success.
In a way my life centers around my achievements and it was my pride and respect that gave me the willingness to achieve and gave me determination to climb my way up the latter to success.
