Running with thin Air
As I was running I could hear the whispers of the wind. I could feel the air around me push against me. I could hear the constant beat of my own footsteps. I could hear the heavy breathing of which was mine. Everything so blurry as I focused for the finish line. I could hear the loud cheer of the crowd as I ran across the finish line and then everything went black.
Running with the thin air is like running with no air at all. Your body feels light as you take each step fast and at a consistent rate. The world around you seems vague. Your mind is set on one goal to win.
Practice is what you need to achieve anything in life. You need to practice running to get better. If you don’t practice nothing is going to happen.
Most people find people who run are just a bunch of jockeys that run around in circles. Essentially we are but that’s not all we are. To run around in circles is fun for us. For instances say there is a 3 mile run most people who do not run would say it’s a waste of time. But not for us. To make it across that finish line at the end is a great achievement because we tried our best to win. If we didn’t we will run faster next time. Winning isn’t essential to running. In my mind just to improve over a period of time is a great achievement by its self. If you can set a goal to beat and you beat that goal then you feel great that you accomplish that goal right? Well that’s what it’s like for me if I can get better at running and get better times I will feel great.
