What Lies Beyond the Horizon

The sun is shining ever so brightly, casting its light across the lands.
As the wind is blowing, autumn leaves began falling.
Their vibrant colors reflect off the sun light.
The light blue sky turns to a light orange, as the day fades away.
The world begins to settle, calm is casted over the face of the earth.
Nightfall soon arrives, as the creatures of the night awaken.
A distant howl could be heard throughout the lands, echoing off the mountain tops, and into the world and beyond.
A storm from the east emerged; it began raining lightly, each drop as soft as a feather.
Within a few minutes it started to pour, like buckets falling from the sky.
As the storm began to settle, the sunrise could be seen beyond the horizon, its effervescent beauty casting its light, upon the shadows of the earth.

Identity

Every relationship we have, whether it's a good relationship, or a bad relationship, has a purpose.
There is something to be learned from each relationship that we have.
What we learn from these experiences may not always be evident, but what we do realize is our values.
How we react to from these experiences, ultimately tests our values, which then shapes us into the person that we are today.

Chairty

The best charity someone can give, isn't always donating money, it's volunteering your time for a noble cause.
Volunteering has a more significant impact on a person, not only at a personal level, but also on someone elses life.
It shows to someone, that you care about their well being, and that your willing to take your own time, to make their life better.
That's not to say that donating money, isn't as noble, but you get more out of experiencing the change first hand, than you do when you give money.

What is often felt, yet not seen

The best things of our lives can't be described in words, they are felt.
These feelings aren't felt by everyone, they are only felt by a few, because to others what we feel about these things, doesn't always have the same effect on them.
While these feelings may change on the outside, and appear to be different, they will always remain the same in the inside, to those of us who understand them.

The Mountain to Sucess

Success, is much like climbing a mountain.
This mountain that we must climb, doesn't have one set route that we must take.
We don't have to climb directly up the mountain, in order to reach the top, there is always more than one way to reach the summit.
In order to be successful, there isn't  just one set formula that we have to follow.
Success comes with our perseverance, and the harder we work throughout our lives, the more that we will get out of our experiences by the end.

Definition

Life is not always about finding yourself, it is about defining who you are.
Finding our definition however, is one of the most challenging parts of our lives.
How we define ourselves may change over a lifetime, but our character will always remain the same.
What we learn from our experiences, and how we interpret these experiences, is what will define us.
What we do with our lives, and how we manage our relationships, will speak of our values.
Our values, are what will then lead us to realizing who we are.
Once we have realized who we are, then we will have found our definition.

My Uncle Jeff

Ever since I was a child, I have always looked up to My Uncle Jeff.
We have had a lot of memorable times together, that I will remember for my lifetime.
One memory in particular that stands out to me the most, was when we went out sailing on his  Hobie cat.
It was a cool mid-day summer afternoon in late august, and we had been sailing for a considerable distance.
My Uncle Jeff gave me the responsibility of changing the sail to face the wind.
As we were cruising along we came upon an island, and as we maneuvered around the island out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that our bow was beginning to tip.
I remember mentioning this to Jeff, but in a very monotone voice "Jeff were tipping", and I had figured that he had heard me, and that everything was fine.
Unfortunately he did not hear me, and when the bow was half way out of the water, I mentioned what I had said before, but this time louder, and when he realized what was happening, we had to scramble to the other side before we would fall in.
Luckily, we were able to get the other side in time, and we avoided getting wet.
Afterwards, we laughed it off, and both agreed that next time something like that happens, that I need to speak up.
Another memory that stands out to me, was when I went on my very first ATV ride.
I remember how initially, I was nervous, but as soon as we got moving I started having fun, and before I knew it we were cruising down the trails at 30 mph, and we were having a blast.
Once we had been driving for awhile, I asked Jeff if I could drive.
When we started moving, I was taking it nice and slow, but as soon as I became comfortable enough with the ATV, I began to speed up.
Driving the ATV, was one of the most exhilarating experiences I have had in my life, and I would not have missed that opportunity for anything else.
Ultimately it is the sense of adventure, that I like the most about My Uncle Jeff, I never know what is beyond the horizon, or were our adventures will take us.

Patience is A Virtue

We can not always expect something in our lives to happen right away.
Certain things take time to set into stone, and we must have the patience to allow them to happen.
Patience, is a judgement of our character.
Those who intervene, will cause whatever their waiting for to take longer.
Those who have patience , will amass good fortune.
Patience is like a flower; water the flower to much, and the seed will drown; water the flower not enough, the flower will not grow; water the flower just right, and your flower will blossom.

Forgiveness

Throughout our lives, our well being is affected by whether or not, we can learn to forgive those around us.
There comes a point in our lives, that we must draw the line between what we can forgive, and what we can not.
We must accept that no one is perfect, and that we all make mistakes, and even those who may slander us deserve a second chance.

2013 The Year of Dreams

2013 is the year that our dreams will become a reality.
Dreams are like domino's, once you give them a little push, everything else will fall into place.
Never let go of your dreams, even if you have to twist left and right, just to hold onto them.
Dreams are what define us, and keep us motivated to shoot for the stars.
We must go that extra distance to ensure that our dreams come true.
If we simply wait around hoping that our dreams will come true, then we will not get anywhere.
Instead we must make steps towards accomplishing our dreams.
Dreams take time, but if we work towards them now, we are one step closer to living our dreams.
